With years working within the catering industry, Pub Marketing Expert has both hands on experience of running successful pubs achieving UK pub business awards (Whitbread Pub Business of the Year, Enterprise Inns Pub development of the Year and Pub Newcomer of the year).

Neil Saunders - owner of Pub Marketing Expert started his career working front of house for 4 years alongside Michelin star and celebrity chef Jean Christophe Novelli, he not only has a wealth of experience from working in a  wide number of operations including the QE2 cruise liner, but gained student of the year at Southampton catering college - where he studied hotel and catering and later qualified from university with a degree in food marketing management.

Neil quickly built up a sound career in food marketing, working for British Meat catering where he was pub catering advisor and then went on to run a food marketing agency assisting with promotional support for food and catering companies.

Neil later took over a near bankrupt pub business in the heart of Somerset and after a 3 month development project repositioned the pub as a food led country inn with a difference. Trade flourished and the business earned an enviable reputation for being full and as "the competitor from Hell."  Running a successful pub business is about understanding what your customers really want and then excelling their expectations. It's about attention to detail, understanding how to market and promote your business and then ensuring you deliver every time. 

The pub flourished and was sold at a high. Neil then spent 8 years as a Business Advisor and Regional Manager, assisting major breweries and individual pub owners and their staff to identify marketing and business opportunities and provide them with a clear direction to achieve success.
